INTERNATIONAL AWARD

Lodi Entrepreneur Internationally Recognized

July - 2010

Tiffany Gomes, President/CEO of Classic Design Floor to Ceiling in Lodi received recognition last week during the tenth annual International eWomen Network Conference in Dallas. Gomes was one of just four finalists to be recognized as Business Woman of the Year at the largest four-day women’s business conference & expo in North America.

Current research indicates that only 2% of women-owned businesses generate revenues of $1 million annually. This award, also known as the Made it to a Million Award, recognizes an outstanding businesswoman who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and business skills in the course of starting and growing her company. She must be the owner/CEO of a 51% woman-owned business that has a minimum of five full-time employees and annual company revenues of at least $1 million for the preceding fiscal year.

This prestigious international honor is awarded to those who have proven themselves to be exemplary role models in the world of business. These awards acknowledge outstanding achievements, skills, positive “can do” attitudes and commitment to giving back to communities for business women who inspire others, are respected by their peers, and volunteer their time and energy to serve those less fortunate.

Says Gomes, “I am extremely humbled to be honored among such outstanding women.” Regarding the spectacular Conference, she says, “It’s an electrifying experience; there are no words to describe the direct access you get to speakers, experts and multimillion dollar entrepreneurs who truly want to help you at the eWomenNetwork International Conference -- you just have to experience it.”

With all the bad economic news, Sandra Yancey, Founder & CEO of Dallas based eWomenNetwork, an International business women’s networking organization, says there is a real and measurable change in the way women entrepreneurs are pushing forward and profiting despite negative news about the economy. “Ten years ago when I invited women business owners to come to Dallas for a weekend business conference with access to new customers and resources, only 107 took me up on the offer. Now, ten years later, in a down economy, we have thousands of women entrepreneurs, representing as many different business categories, attending the event.”
